3. Emergency Services – Critical Disclaimer

DO NOT USE DOCBEE FOR MEDICAL EMERGENCIES.

If you are experiencing a life-threatening situation or urgent medical crisis, immediately contact local emergency services (e.g., 999 in Bangladesh) or visit the nearest hospital emergency department.

4. Eligibility & Registration

Users

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Minors may use the service only under the direct supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

Verification

Healthcare professionals must provide valid government-issued licenses and certifications.

DocBee reserves the right to verify these credentials but does not guarantee the accuracy of third-party licensing boards.

5. Video Consultations & Telemedicine

  • Telemedicine has inherent limitations, including the inability to perform a physical examination.
  • By using the Platform, you acknowledge that technical failures such as internet disruptions or power outages may interrupt a session.
  • Healthcare professionals may determine that a patient’s condition is not suitable for telemedicine and may recommend an in-person visit.

6. Payments, Fees & Refunds

Payment Processing

Fees for consultations are paid via integrated third-party payment gateways such as SSLCommerz, bKash, Nagad, or Credit/Debit cards.

As consultations are professional healthcare services provided directly between patients and healthcare professionals, payments are processed outside Apple and Google billing systems.

Refund Policy

  • If a doctor fails to join the scheduled video consultation, a full refund will be initiated within 7–10 working days.
  • No refunds are provided for patient no-shows or dissatisfaction with medical advice, as consultation fees cover professional time and service availability.

Platform Fees

DocBee may charge a service fee per transaction, which will be clearly displayed before payment confirmation.

7. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

  • Record video consultations without the express consent of the healthcare professional.
  • Use the Platform for fraudulent activity or attempts to obtain controlled substances illegally.
  • Abuse, harass, threaten, or use offensive language toward healthcare professionals or other users.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DocBee shall not be liable for any medical malpractice, misdiagnosis, treatment outcome, or personal injury resulting from consultations facilitated through the Platform.

Our total liability shall be limited to the amount paid for the specific consultation in dispute.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Any disputes shall be settled exclusively in the courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
